In the sky I see a wren in flight

I long to soar the skies of this bleak night

The days are getting shorter and still I know not what I long for

A drop of honey fell from a feathered storm

Often I wish i had never been born yet here I am I am writing this work

I look at children and realised that long is gone an innocent light that was stolen from me

Bully or abuser, is there any difference really?

Both rob joy and a feeling of safety

That is why I long to die

Yet I have purpose to fulfill my mother’s womb

But I can’t help but view it as my tomb from which I came to exist.

Surely there is more to a life like mine in this maze

I call on God and his angels too

For something bigger than me is what I cling to

Despite the misery and suffering life has brought me I sometimes feel happy though it is a fleeting beauty

Regardless of this the birds still sing and I do too despite my woe

A feeling of pain I have faith will wash away with the rain some day
